Welcome to the Play Section
There are many ways for you to start playing Rugby League in London and the South East. In fact there are playing opportunities available to players of all levels. Whether you are an experienced player, a junior player looking to put on a jersey for the first time or simply looking to play socially in one of our League For All games like Touch, Tag or Masters, this page will help you to get involved.
Community Mens
There are four tiers of Community Rugby League for players in London and the South East. From the heights of the RLC National for the best amateur clubs in the country, to the social London and South East Merit League, there is bound to be a club near you. Click here for more information.
Community Mini, Junior and Youth Rugby League
London and the South East has 16 clubs region wide that provide playing opportunities for our community players from ages 7 - 18. in 2011 over 1500 players have registered across 62 teams. Click here to find out more information about how to get involved.
Women & Girls
London and the South East are making strong inroads in the Women and Girls game. Currently we have five ladies teams competing in the Southern Divison and three junior girls clubs. Touch, Tag, Masters & Wheelchair
These deriviative versions of Rugby League are designed to offer playing opportunities to participants who are not attracted to playing the full contact version of the sport. These are very social versions of the sport, with a focus on fun, skills and exercise. To find out more click here.
Schools Rugby League
Rugby League is one of the fastest growing school sports in London and the South East. With league structures across the region and the flagship Carnegie Champion Schools competition, the sport is avaiable to all schools in the South of England. College Rugby League
Rugby League in Further Education continues to be one of the regions recent success stories. With over 20 colleges playing numerous derivatives of the game in the South there are more and more opportunities for young people to further their interest in the sport after they leave secondary school. University Rugby League
The number of Universities playing Rugby League across London and the South East has doubled in the last 3 years and the game is still growing fast within the Higher education sector.
