Ade Adebisi Signs For Skolars

London Skolars are delighted to announce the signing of Ade Adebisi for the 2010 Championship 1 Season.

Ade (pictured above with his new Skolars shirt) brings a wealth of experience to the Skolars' new look squad.

Ade has played for the club on 2 occasions in the past. He first pulled on the Skolars colours for the under 15s team in the 2001 junior league season. He made his debut for Skolars' first team on 9 July 2006 v Keighley Cougars, whilst on loan from London Broncos.

Ade joined Whitehaven in 2008 from the 2007 NL2 Championship winning side Featherstone Rovers. In 2002, Ade, a promising schoolboy athlete and footballer joined the London Broncos development programme before signing up for their junior academy team the following season. In 2004, as well as representing the BARLA Young Lions against France, he also made his debut for the Broncos in Super League. Limited opportunities at senior level led to a spell on loan to Hull FC where he played in their successful 2005 academy side with fellow London Stars Michael Worrincy and Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook. His association with the London club ended in 2007, when he signed initially for Doncaster before moving to Featherstone for the last 11 games of the season .

His first year at the Whitehaven was a great success and he finished the season as the club’s top try scorer with 22 tries in 30 games.

Head coach James Massara is delighted to have brought in someone of Ade's quality. "Ade brings is some top level experience to the squad. I remember watching play for the Broncos and Hull, when he was young, and I was always impressed with the spark he brought to the game. He has fitted right in to the group of players we have down here and he is looking forward to getting back to playing again".
